The Encounter, Is About People, You And I...
First just a little about me. I am Joseph, and the encounter will deal with those things that I have experienced. They are things that are common to all people in one way of another. Briefly I was born in South Carolina, grew up in Alabama, lived in Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Virginia. I dropped out of high school in the eleventh grade, completed high school in the Air Force, where I spent four years, I went to college in Measville, Pa, it was a wonderful college, and although I did not complete my degree studies, I treasure thee experiences that I had while I was a student there. And although they let me in as a student, and they worked with me to make it as far as I did, I am proud that they managed to hold up hig standards. This is not to say that they did not have issues that had to be dealt with, academically and socially. My encounter there with administrators, professors, other students and workes there was ppositive even in the times of personal trials, social, and academic difficulties on my part.
The encounter I shall talk about shall be issues the all people have to deal with within ourselves. Things that eventual affect on those around us. As we journey through this life and growing in the Spirit, as we encounter one another, let us bless one another in that encounter. Let us allow the judging that we do be according to the particular measuring standard that we may be using at any point in time, and let us identify the standard that we are using to judge with. Let us acknowledge that the standard is more to identify where a person may be at a point in time in their personal growth and developement. Let us realize that judging is not just condemnation, judging is primarily receiving information, analysizing that information, and making a decisionaccordingly. Let us realize that Love judges, that it may properly encourage, that which is the object of it's loves, to grow. |

The History or Story Behind The Encounter Site
I have always enjoyed, even loved interacting with people about the things that they and we experience as we live and hopefully learn. It is important that we take the things that we learn and make them a part of who we are as an individual, as a member of a family, group and or social gathering that we chosen to be a part of. So this is my humble attempt to share and get involved with that which I love to do, encountering God and people and things.
There have always been more people talking than we have time to listen; It is no different today than it has been in times part. It is just that there is more vehicle to carry the voices and conversations than ever before. There things like radio which is having a resurgence, for I remember a time growing up in Alabama, before TV when it was a family event to gather around the radio to listen to certain programs, the television, the computer, along with all the print medias have revolutionized the world. This makes it harder to weed out that which is real from that which is not; things which are trying hard to be and do that which they think or have been taught should work.

This is not always easy because many people are for more committed to their organization, or their group or their race or their gender than to God and the search for truth. We believe that god is looking for men and women who will struggle to put God first, and this will be reflected in the relationship that we have with all the people of all the earth; and even in the relationsip that we have with all creation.
There are people at various levels of growth and developement that are leading the search for the oneness of the reality of God, and the need to share it with others, without the judging that condemns. We shall attempt to seek them out share with them and share we you that which we have learned. And if by chance we are not able to meet them or gather with them we shall by the Spirit and in the Spirit, pray form them and the wor that they are doing
It is hard to find people who are committed to truth of the living God. Truth never change, but the human's ability to receive, understand and assimulate truth, that grows and developes as we learn.
